ST. MIRREN | 2022/23

I was commissioned by Pitch Pro Retail to design the St. Mirren home & away kits on behalf of Joma for the 2022/23 Scottish Premiership Season. St. Mirren were very open with the brief and were keen to utilise the paisley pattern through both kits. A new monotone crest was created leaving the floral red colour to tie in with the sponsor logo details. The away kit in particular was extremely well received, becoming one of the most talked about kits in Scotland and selling out within three days of it's launch.

HIBERNIAN | 2021/22

As part of my role at Hibernian Football Club I undertook design responsibility for the home, away and third kits for the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership and UEFA Europa Conference League Season.

The home kit drew direct influence from the city of Edinburgh and utilised a map design through the main body of the kit. Particular attention was given to the positioning of the map, making sure that the club crest placement aligned with the actual location of the stadium on the map.

The away kit was inspired by the popular retro kits of the 80s and 90s. We specifically requested a v-neck template with customisable cuffs to bring the brand colours through. Despite the pinstripe being a popular design feature for other teams at the time, Hibernian themselves had never had a pinstripe kit. This meant we were able to create a kit that felt like a Hibs kit from that era, whilst delivering a completely new design for the club. The success of this design led to Joma using the template again for Norwich City's home kit during the 2022/23 EFL Championship season.

The third kit was a unique partnership with the Proclaimers, incorporating the lyrics of 'Sunshine on Leith'. The lyrics were hand drawn alongside illustrated elements and repeated as a subtle pattern across the entirety of the kit. Four tints of yellow were used though the pattern to give depth and prominence to certain parts of the design.
